Safe Drivers want people in accidents to foot bills

It has been revealed recently that many 'safe' motorists on the road strongly believe people involved in accidents ought to pay for the collisions/accidents they are involved in. Also many drivers with four years or more no claims discount on their car insurance expressed that they should not have to contribute for road accidents.

There have been a number of actions which are being considered due to safe drivers articulating their concerns. These include better insurance deals for safer drivers and a change in road tax by the government to make drivers involved in accidents pay more and the drivers who are considered safe, pay less for their car insurance.

Another important factor why safer drivers are expressing these views are that many drivers involved in accidents do not apologies or feel remorse for what has happened. This sometimes leads to drivers exaggerating the extent of their injury and or psychological damage and damage done to the vehicle.

This difficulty has had a knock on effect of increasing premiums and excesses with some car insurance companies. Many motor insurance quotes will be unnecessarily high due to this.

It has been worked out that overstated claims cost motorists, including people not involved in accidents, about 28 million pounds a year.
