Road rage - A British disease?

Road rage in the UK is second only to that in South Africa according to a recent poll. According to the research, 95% of UK drivers believe they have suffered some form of road rage be it verbal, physical or just hand gestures.
The success of Crash the recent film featuring Matt Dillon and Sandra Bullock shows the problems in the US but according to the study, the problem is far worse in the UK.

When it comes to cheap motor insurance, road rage is being mentioned with increasing regularity. Customers forced to disclose on their proposal forms any accidents or convictions often mention that they have either been victims of road rage, several people seeking insurance for cars have even admitted to being the perpetrators of road rage.

A comforting fact to come out of the research is that only 2% of the cases involved violence, most were simply rude gestures or intimidation driving. India was poor in this regard with 14% of incidents ending in violence.
When looking for cheap motor insurance, customers are advised to always disclose any material facts including road rage issues.
